CLASH tests Edinburgh
5 june 2004
At the University of Edinburgh several single layer armour units were tested to determine wave overtopping rates on breakwaters as part of the CLASH programme.
CLASH: “Crest Level Assessment of coastal Structures by full scale monitoring, neural network prediction and Hazard analysis on permissible wave overtopping, “ is a research project supported by the European Commission. For more information about Clash, please visit their website.
During the tests the Xbloc® armour layer showed good performance when exposed to wave overtopping.
Test Results will be published on this site.
