Shore Protection Bar Beach Completed

The construction of the first Xbloc® shore protection in Africa has been completed at Bar Beach, Lagos, Nigeria. Within one year 1 km of shore protection has been realised.
The shore protection is armoured by 1.5 m3 Xblocs®.
This shore protection is the first phase in solving a long lasting coastal erosion problem that over the past 50 years led to the regression of several hundreds of meters of coastline.
