Xbloc® Placement at IJmuiden

Amid great interest 10 Eco-Xblocs have been placed on the southern breakwater of IJmuiden. Deltares and Dutch Ministry of Public Works,  together with SHELL, BAM, DMC, IMARES,  Cfix  and Heijmans are involved at this test area of  "The Rich Dike" project. Different armour units of different materials and textures will be monitored during three years to evaluate their ecological value.
