In Rize, Turkey, a new airport is under construction.
Rize-Artvin Airport is an airport under construction on reclaimed land from the sea off the coast of Rize Province, northeastern Turkey.
It is being constructed on a reclamation obtained through filling a part of the Black sea shore with rocks brought from nearby quarries and dredged material. It will be the second airport of this kind in Turkey.
The Xblocs that will be used as protection of this reclamation are 14m3 (34ton) and 18m3 (43ton).
