Mundra, India

Adani Ports and Special Economic zone are using Xbloc armour units for the revetment of the Mundra LNG project. The physical model tests were executed by LHI in Sri Lanka. The production of the Xblocs will start in October 2015.

Aqaba New Port, Jordan

Close to Aqaba, a new container terminal and service harbour is under construction. The berths including reclamation and shore protection for the new port are being built by the Joint Venture BAM International and MAG Engineering and Contracting.

Das Island, Abu Dhabi

Das Island, Abu Dhabi, is enlarged by land reclamation. Xbloc armour units are applied as shore protection. The project is carried out by Van Oord. The Xblocs are cast by Sixco in Ajman, UAE.

On the island of Guam in the Pacific Ocean a shore protection has been built. The shore protection has an armourlayer of 8 m3 Xblocs.

Dikkowita, Sri Lanka

Dikkowita, Sri Lanka

A new Fishing Harbour has been built 10 kilometre north of Colombo, Sri Lanka. The harbour is constructed by BAM International, the design is done by Delta Marine Consultants.

Gulf Area

Gulf Area

A large breakwater is built in the Gulf to protect a harbour. The breakwater is located in a severe earthquake zone. The Xbloc armour is applied on a slope of 1:2. The Xblocs are placed using crawler cranes.
